Remarkable rocks are remarkable, but cafe at the entrance just shouldn't be there. About $24 for a single plate of Chicken salad, you would normally assume would be taste nice and large quantity, this one will blow your mind off. 29/06/2016

Kangaroo Island, or “KI”, is a wildlife mecca and Flinder's Chase National Park is its heart. The park makes up the western portion of KI, so you'll need a couple of days to really enjoy it. Start at the Flinders Chase Visitor Centre and Café. The Remarkable Rocks Walk is an easy short walk with spectacular views. Also visit Admirals Arch and Cape du Couedic Lightstation. For longer hikes, I recommend the Rocky River Mouth hike and the Ravine de Casoars hike.

The staff at the visitors centre are really helpful, especially Wendy, who really helped me organise my time on the island.

The seals at Admiral's Arch and the whales at Remarkable Rocks are breathe taking.

I've walked past Kangaroo's, Wallabies, Echidna's and even Goanna's and they hardly looked twice at me like visitors are just part of the norm.

My wife and I visited Kangaroo Island when we lived in Adelaide,South Australia a few years back.We took the vehicular ferry from Cape Jervis on the mainland to Penneshaw on the Island. You need to could bring a car to get around on the Island. If you look at the tourist maps beforehand you can plan to see a few of the popular tourist attractions like Remarkable Rocks, spot some of the thousands of sleepy Koalas in the gum trees and hand feed the odd Wallaby or two.We stayed overnight at a quaint little motel in Penneshaw. It was an interesting drive across the Island to see the spectacular Remarkable Rocks. There were a lot of seals on or near the beach which was pretty neat but visitors are warned by signs not to touch the seals.
